Hundreds came out to celebrate the inauguration of the new Mom and Pop style community store in the heavily Ethiopian populated area of Beit Shemesh this past Monday night. The store, called “Ezra LeZulat” = Help to Others, is specifically geared to the Mature Ethiopian Community in Beit Shemesh. The store is run by the Community workers of Shaalei Tikva in Beit Shemesh, along with several retirees of Ethiopian descent. The store sells staple foods at wholesale prices, enabling people in the community of the area not to have to travel far, nor pay high prices (which they can’t afford anyway) to convenience stores. The store is called “Ezra LeZulat” = Help to Others…

A very large crowd came out to support the opening of the at cost community store, run in part by the Shaalei Tikva staff, and in part by the community members themselves.
